Volkswagen is marking the 20th anniversary of the first-generation Touareg with a new "Edition 20" special edition of the third-generation car.
The new Meloe Blue color and gloss-black Bogota wheels of the Volkswagen Touareg Edition 20 make it stand out visually. Tinted windows, LED taillights, and "Edition 20" emblems on the B-pillars are all included in the new special edition Touareg.
The seats in the interior are upholstered in black Savona leather with Ceramique diamond quilting. The Ceramique and Red stitching on the dash match the red details throughout the cabin. Standard equipment includes the Innovision Cockpit with its 15-inch infotainment touchscreen and the Travel Assist ADAS, which enables semi-autonomous driving.
The Touareg Edition 20 is accessible in two diesel engines, one gasoline engine, and one plug-in hybrid engine. The 3.0-liter V6 TDI produces 228 hp and 368.8 lb-ft of torque, or 282 hp and 442.5 lb-ft of torque. The petrol engine is a 3.0-liter V6 TSI with 335 horsepower and 331.9 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, the plug-in hybrid V6 TSI generates 375 horsepower and 442.5 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic gearbox distributes power to all four wheels.
The VW Touareg Edition 20 is now available for order in Germany with prices beginning at €77,530 for the base V6 TDI.
