Todd Willing Takes The Helm At Ford Design Following Anthony Lo's Departure

Todd Willing, a 21-year Ford veteran, has received a promotion to head of Ford Design. Anthony Lo recently resigned from his position as global head of Ford and Lincoln vehicle design, and Willing will take over.
Having worked with the carmaker since 2003, Todd Willing has extensive experience. The Australian Design Studio of Ford in Melbourne initially involved him in a work-study program. Following his passion, he pursued a major in industrial design at Monash University in Australia.
Over the course of his tenure at Ford, he oversaw design teams in different countries, including Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia, and he signed off on significant models for the company.
Among the vehicles that the designer worked on are the 2007 Mondeo, 2009 Fiesta, 2010 Focus, and 2017 Ford GT racecar. The latter's distinctive profile and advanced aerodynamics have earned it widespread acclaim as one of his most famous works.
F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Bronco, Maverick, Explorer, and Expedition were all models that Willing went on to design for Ford as an SUV and truck manufacturer. Prior to his most recent promotion, Willing oversaw the design of all electric vehicles produced by Ford's Model e division. His new position is evidence of the board's faith in his ability to develop the worldwide aesthetic language for future Ford models.
