This 6500-HP Volkswagen Beetle Aims To Be The World's Fastest Electric Vehicle

This electrified Volkswagen Beetle was constructed for a specific reason. Its goal is to complete a quarter-mile in seven seconds and become the quickest electric vehicle in the world.
The VW is equipped with four permanent magnet axial flux AC three-phase motors, which allow it to go the quarter-mile in far less time than most other automobiles are capable of. There is a total of 2,260 continuous horsepower available from all of the motors, each of which has a power output of 565 horsepower.
Nevertheless, the motors are capable of reaching peak power of 1625 horsepower each for short durations. This is enough to cover the quarter-mile. The car's range isn't a problem because its life is restricted to the drag strip. Current Racing developed a 22-kWh battery pack for the EV Bug.
The battery may be recharged using the CHAdeMO charger situated in the front of the car, concealed behind the VW symbol, in an hour and has a maximum voltage of 800 volts. The brothers who built this monster haven't yet run a quarter-mile at top speed.
