The Ultimate Ferrari 355: Evoluto's Modern Masterpiece
by AutoExpert | 12 July, 2024
Evoluto Automobili is making surprising upgrades to the Ferrari 355. The expert in restoration and modernization is re-engineering the Ferrari to appeal to a younger audience while maintaining and improving the car's thrilling ride and handling.
An improved chassis, a custom interior, and a new carbon body make this ultra-special supercar stand out. An overhauled engine with more than 200 new and revised parts is standard on all 355s that are customer-supplied.
This engine has a new coil-on-plug ignition system, bigger inlet valves, a solid cam lifter, a customized quill shaft, and custom tuning. The original produced only 375 horsepower, while the revamped engine now produces 420 horsepower. The engine goes hand in hand with a revamped six-speed manual gearbox.
The enhanced brakes include Brembo GT six-piston up front and four-piston down rear calipers. The tuner has also increased the car's torsional stiffness by 23 percent via carbon fusing, which adds stopping power. The body of the Evoluto, created by Ian Callum, enhances Ferrari cooling with more oversized intakes and a modified front splitter. Its features include a titanium exhaust system, updated wing mirrors, LED pop-up headlights, 19-inch wheels, and flush door handles.
Evoluto will produce only 55 Ferrari 355s. Customers may choose from various interior and exterior material treatments, paint, and leather options to make each one unique. Evoluto will have a launch party and preview at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. Monterey Car Week will host its worldwide premiere in August.
