Buckle up, Australian auto enthusiasts! The Ram 1500 Laramie Sport is now making its grand entry into your local line-up, carrying along the familiar and formidable 5.7-liter HEMI V8, capable of pumping out a healthy 390 horsepower. Kicking off at a cool AU$136,950, this ride is ready to rock the road and your world.

Ram has experienced an exceptional year in Australia, breaking sales records left and right. Sales have shot up by an astounding 61.6% compared to the same period last year, with a total of 4,156 vehicles finding new homes. The introduction of the new Laramie Sport variant to the booming Ram 1500 pickup truck family looks set to further cement this trend.

The Ram 1500 Laramie Sport

The Laramie Sport destined for Aussie roads boasts a unique personality, sporting color-coordinated bumpers, grille, and mirrors, complemented by a set of standout 20-inch alloy wheels. Functionality is not forgotten either, with the RamBox cargo management system integrated on both sides of the bed.

Inside, the Laramie Sport sets itself apart from its Ram 1500 siblings. It features a striking black headlining and eye-catching black carbon fiber-like dash inserts. Each vehicle comes standard with a 12-inch digital gauge cluster enhanced with 3D graphics, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, forward collision warning with active braking, and a 360-degree surround view camera. Let's not forget its array of safety features, including parallel/perpendicular park assist, LaneSense lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, front and rear park assist system, and a reversing camera.

The Ram 1500 Laramie Sport

The Laramie Sport keeps the mechanical specs consistent with its 1500 siblings available Down Under. The gutsy 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine churns out 291 kW (390 hp) and 556 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque, managed by an 8-speed automatic transmission. There's also a mild-hybrid system and a tow capacity of up to 4.5 tonnes. Available in Bright White, Diamond Black, or Granite Crystal, this vehicle is a premium investment, starting at AU$136,950 ($93,399).

Jeff Barber, the national manager for Ram Trucks Australia, said, "The 1500 Laramie Sport full-size pickup brilliantly combines the practicality of a ute with the comfort, space, and top-notch finishes of a luxury SUV. This versatile package ensures that our customers can enjoy a first-class journey whether they're towing, working on-site, embarking on family road trips, or even just on school runs."
