Mercedes-Benz will sell a version with the 6x6 traction of the G63 AMGâs SUV - the car that would be built in 20-30 copies annually at the Magna Steyr factory in Graz, Austria, is based on a military car, built for the Australian Army and is in use since 2011.
Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 will have a V8 petrol engine of 536 HP and 760 Nm and a seven-speed automatic gearbox 7G-Tronic. If the engine and the gearbox were changed, the traction system 6x6, with five differential locks, remained the same as the military version.
The SUV has four seats, a pick-up trailer, and 37-inch wheels! The ground clearance is 460 mm, while the length is 5.867 mm, the width is 2.111 mm, and the height is 2.209 mm, which means that the 6x6 monster is by 1.1 m longer, by 23 cm wider and by 27 cm higher than a G63 AMG 4x4.
Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 has a weigh of 3.775 kg and can sprint from zero to 100 kmph in less than six seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 160 kmph.
According to multiple sources, each year will be built between 20 and 30 copies of G 6x6, each with a price of about 420.000 euros.
