The new Jetson One, a single-seater eVTOL vehicle inspired by motorsports, is plain thrilling. Jetson, the founding company of the Jetson One, boasts of having sold out of its entire 2022 supply, with another 100 ordered for delivery in 2023.
Since the formal introduction of the one-person vehicle in October of last year, the Swedish eVTOL company has also received over 3,000 pre-orders. Due to its lightweight, race car-inspired aluminum space frame and carbon-kevlar shell, Jetson's One is a single-seater eVTOL vehicle weighing only 86 kg.
It has eight electric motors that allow it to reach a peak speed of 63 mph and a flying duration of 20 minutes. The Jetson One is one of the first eVTOL vehicles designed for personal usage, with orders coming in from all over the world. The company's website mentions each buyer's hometown or location, and it appears to be especially popular in California and the Middle East.
The company is now searching for more funding and plans to grow its operations by hiring new staff during 2022. Starting at $92,000 with a $22,000 deposit, the Jetson One is expected to ship later this year to the first purchasers.
