The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Makes Its Debut With Improved Suspension
by AutoExpert | 12 April, 2022
For the 2023 model year, Nissan is introducing the Rock Creek, an off-road-ready version of the Pathfinder. On display at the New York International Auto Show will be a significantly more powerful motor, an improved suspension, and modest aesthetic changes to express the ruggedness of the new Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek SUV.
The black-themed V-motion grille, Rock Creek badging, a tubular roof rack that can accommodate up to 220 lbs of gear, and a set of 18-inch Beadlock-style wheels wrapped in durable all-terrain tires define the new Pathfinder Rock Creek. The new tough Pathfinder is also equipped with an off-road-tuned suspension. Because of a 5/8-inch raise, the Rock Creek is higher.
Owing to updated fuel mapping, the 3.5-liter V6 engine now generates 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, which is more than the regular 284 hp and 259 lb-ft. The Rock Creek is only offered with Nissan's Intelligent AWD system and a nine-speed automatic gearbox, in keeping with its aggressive nature.
Inside, there's a mix of leatherette and fabric upholstery, as well as Rock Creek logos stitched on the seats and center armrest, and orange piping all over. The Intelligent Around View Monitor with Off-Road Mode is included, as are the captain's seats for the second row, limiting the Rock Creek to a seven-seater configuration.
Following the formal presentation of the SUV at the New York International Auto Show between April 15 and 24, the first deliveries of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek, along with the whole MY 2023 range, are expected for late summer 2022.
