Tesla's Sound Revolution: Alpine Audio Upgrades & Model 3 Price Drop

Hey folks, let's chat about something pretty cool happening over at Tesla. You know how we all love cranking up tunes in our rides, right? Well, Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y just got a major audio boost, thanks to Alpine stepping in with some sweet upgrades. And guess what? If you've been eyeing a Model 3, there's good news – it's now a bit cheaper than its sibling, the Model Y Long Range, by 500 bucks. Pretty neat, huh?

So, what's the deal with Alpine's new sound systems? They've basically crafted this killer setup that's tailor-made for Tesla. It fits right into where the original speakers were, no muss, no fuss. This means you get to upgrade your jams without risking any damage to your car's chic interior.

Tesla

Diving into the details, the starter pack from Alpine includes 11 speakers. We're talking a beefy 10-inch subwoofer, a digital sound processor that's got 12 channels, a couple of 80W speakers for the back doors, some powerful 100W ones for the front, and three more 120W speakers that sit snugly in the center dash. And if that's not enough, they've got a 13-speaker version that adds even more oomph.

Tesla

This sound paradise isn't just for the latest Teslas; models going back to 2018 can join the party, too. While the 11-speaker system is a match for the Model 3 with the basic setup, the bigger 13-speaker system fits both versions. And for the Model Y? It's all about the 13-speaker system, no matter what. The price tag for this audio bliss? $2,995. Yeah, it's a bit of a splurge, but when you compare it to the fancy systems in some luxury cars, it's a steal.

Tesla

Alpine's even thrown in a promise that blasting your favorite tracks at full volume will barely sip your battery, costing you less than a mile of range every hour. How cool is that?

Tesla

In other Tesla news, the Model 3 Long Range got a price bump recently, making it $47,490. That puts it just $500 shy of the Model Y Long Range. It's a bit of a head-scratcher from Tesla, especially since the Model 3 just got a snazzy facelift. But hey, for an extra $500, jumping to the bigger Model Y might be tempting for those looking for more space.

Tesla

Speaking of prices, there's a $7,000 difference between the base models of the Model 3 and Model Y. Makes you wonder if Tesla might have more price tweaks up its sleeve. Stay tuned, Tesla fans!
