Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Convertible Hyperion - the most expensive Rolls-Royce in the world!!
by AllAutoExperts | 30 October, 2015
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Cabrio, issued in 2008, could have been bought for 400 000 Dollars. Well, Pininfarina, the famous design studio, thought that there was someplace for improvement and accepted that challenge.
What came out of that is a wonderful car, called Hyperion, that can be regarded as a "love or hate it" vehicle, and all because of its controversial design.
Yes, none of the existing concept cars can beat Hyperion when it comes to aspects like the weird design or almost outrageous price.
The exterior of the car reminds a retro luxurious coupe from the '30s or '40s of the past century. Having an incredibly long hood, this car comes with only two seats and lots of wooden details.
The body of this car is made of the so popular carbon fiber, which certainly does contribute to higher prices and also, higher performances. The doors, however, aren't made of carbon fiber, massive wood being the main material.
You will notice that the standard headlights have been successfully replaced by Pininfarina with headlights coming in a teardrop shape.
Talking about shapes, the car body has become more round, to put it that way, than the original. It also has a bigger trunk.
The entire car looks much more elegant than the original version, conquering the real motorists' hearts.
Now let's take a look inside Phantom Hyperion. There are no drastic differences between the original and the customized versions. Yeah, except the fact that the original has 4 seats and the Hyperion - only two. The board watch - a specially created watch for Hyperion - is a beautiful Girard Perregaux, which can be taken out of the board and worn as a normal wristwatch.
You will be able to admire the beautiful high-quality leather inside the Hyperion, coming in a wonderful off-white shade. The simplicity of the Rolls Royce brand has been respected and, thus, preserved, which can make us only sigh in delight.
If you are wondering about the sound quality inside the car, then you must know that there are 15 Lexicon speakers, working along with two sub-woofers. The sound is simple and qualitative, which is just perfect.
The drive train has been preserved from the original version. The car is powered by a 6.7 liters V12 engine, riding 453 hp at a 5350 rpm torque. The first 100 km/h is reached in 5.7 seconds.
The chassis and suspension system has also been preserved from Phantom Drophead, except the double-wishbone in the front part of the suspension.
The price is too much. We have heard rumors saying that the price reached 6 million dollars. And these cars manage to keep their high priced labels throughout the years.
