Rivian R2 Electric Vehicle Specs Revealed Ahead of Unveiling
by AutoExpert | 6 March, 2024
Several specifications for the highly anticipated Rivian R2 electric vehicle have made their way online, providing a sneak peek at this futuristic electric vehicle—as the March 7 unveiling draws near.
Owner of Rivian and X user Chris Hilbert found the specs in the startup's official website's backend using a web inspector. The new Rivian R2 pricing is reportedly going to start at $47,500.
With a maximum range of 330 miles and a 0–60 mph time of as little as 3 seconds, the Rivian R2 will be more powerful than the Tesla Model Y Performance. Because it has NACS and CCS charging connectors, the R2 can charge at Tesla's superchargers, just like the R1S and R1T. The R2's dimensions are 75 inches in width, 66.9 inches in height, and 185.6 inches in length, with a wheelbase of 115.6 inches.
We also know that it will ride on 32-inch tires and have a ground clearance of 9.8 inches. The approach angle is going to be 25°, and the departure line is going to be 27°. However, the Rivian R2 is noticeably smaller than the R1S. The dimensions are as follows: shorter by 15.2 inches, narrower by 4.3 inches, and shorter by 10.4 inches than the larger sibling.
Official teasers have revealed that the Rivian R2 will take design cues from the R1S and R1T, including a boxy form and a lighting signature resembling full-width LED bars. On March 7, we will get all the details regarding the new electric SUV. Can't wait!
