The Germans came to Geneva Motor Show with two extremely well "wrapped" new models. The stand of Porsche shines with a new 911 GT3 RS and a more potent version of the Cayman, GT4!
Both vehicles are geared to customers who want a sports car approved for public roads but easily cope with a tour circuit! Thus Porsche 911 GT3 RS is presented with a body made mostly of aluminum alloys, a magnesium roof, and many other items made from carbon fiber, which allowed engineers to reduce its total mass to only 1420 kg.
The engine installed under the hood is a V6 RS' 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated, which develops 500 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque. However, the sports car can reach the first hundred in 3.3 seconds and the maximum speed reaches 322 km/h.
On the other hand, Cayman GT4 comes with a new double exhaust system, suspension with ground clearance reduced by 30mm, and performance brakes taken from the 911 GT3. The greatest attention must be paid to the six-cylinder engine, with a volume of 3.8 liters that develops 385 horsepower! This gearbox is coupled to six-speed manual and can catapult the car from zero to one hundred in just 4.4 seconds! In case you are interested, the maximum speed that it reached is 295km/h!
