Lamborghini Recalls Two 2024 Revueltos Over Oil Leak Risk
by AutoExpert | 4 January, 2025
Lamborghini is recalling just two of its 2024 Revuelto supercars over a possible oil leak that could lead to a fire. The issue comes down to a faulty oil flange connection between the oil tank and radiator.
The problem first came to light in October when a Revuelto caught fire in New York City. Lamborghini launched an investigation and, by December, confirmed the fire was caused by an oil leak in the engine bay.
Looking into it further, the company found that the car had undergone some rework on its oil system during production, but there was no record showing the screws were properly tightened. After identifying two more Revueltos in the U.S. with the same issue, Lamborghini decided to issue a recall just to be safe.
Lamborghini says it will notify the affected owners by early February, asking them to bring their cars to a dealership. Technicians will inspect the screws and tighten them if needed.
It’s rare to see a car as exclusive as the Revuelto facing a recall, but Lamborghini clearly isn’t taking any risks with its latest hybrid supercar.
