Novitec Gives Ferrari Roma A Subtle Power Boost

Since Ferrari introduced the Roma two years ago, Novitec has had plenty of time to develop its own version. The twin-turbo V8 in Maranello's entry-level GT gets a power boost from the tuning kit. Novitec's bodykit for Ferrari Roma is built of exposed carbon with a high-gloss finish.
It features a new front apron with a larger splitter that matches the revised grille and headlamp trim. Aerodynamic side sills, carbon mirror covers, taillight surrounds, diffuser elements, an extra vertical fin, and a carbon cover for the dynamic rear spoiler are all included on the Roma.
Whereas the bodykit blends nicely with Roma's personality, the NF10 forged wheels by Vossen are the most striking upgrade. They feature a 21-inch diameter with 255/30 ZR 21 tires up front and a 22-inch diameter with 315/25 ZR 22 tires up back, and they come in 72 distinct color variations and three surface treatments.
The GT is equipped with sport springs that lower it by 35 mm, as is characteristic of Novitec (1.4 inches). A hydraulic front lift system raises the front axle by 40 mm (1.6 inches) at the push of a button to prevent the splitter from scratching over speed bumps.
Although Roma is a more luxurious and refined version of Ferrari's most popular models, it is nevertheless a quick and maneuverable grand tourer. If you want more power, Novitec is boosting the V8's twin-turbo output from the original 612 hp (456 kW / 620 PS) to 695 hp (518 kW / 704 PS) and increasing the torque from 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) to 882 Nm (651 lb-ft).
The N-Tronic control module enabled this boost by providing new injection and ignition mapping, as well as updating the electronic boost pressure regulation and enhancing power delivery. High-performance catalysts are also available from the tuner.
Improvements in power output are clearly seen in performance. Novitec's Roma speeds from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 3.2 secs and from 0 to 200 km/h (0 to 124 mph) in 8.9 secs, marking a -0.2 and -0.4 second saving, respectively. In addition, peak speed has improved by about 5 km/h (3 mph) to over 325 km/h (202 mph).
As a final touch, Novitec can provide any color leather and Alcantara upholstery for the cabin. Given that the Ferrari Roma starts at $222,630 in the United States, we're confident that the carbon components will not come cheap from the tuner.
