Nissan Has A GT-R Generation Style Surprise! What Could This Be?
by AutoExpert | 24 March, 2021
The Nissan's codenamed R35 GT-R generation is one of the most updated automaker's models over the last 14 years. In 2017, we had our favorite facelift consisting of exterior styling updates and increased outputs for the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 and 562 hp and 467 lb-ft outputs.
Now everyone is expecting an all-electric R35 GT-R, but time will show if we will get one. Still, according to JApan's Best Car, Nissan might have one final update for 2022, but no official statement has been made on the matter to confirm the rumors. The latest strict fuel-economy standards, have a say in Nissan's desire to update the twin-turbo V8.
The update itself would consist of a new 48 Volt inline mild-hybrid system which will add 27 horsepower. Supposedly these late updates would end the era of a Nissan with pure-combustion-engined GT-R, even though presumably, Nissan is preparing the final edition without electrification. Imagine a Nissan that could reach 710horsepower output? And being a limited edition of 20 units only makes this last GT-R generation a car worthy of a place in a collector's personal museum.
