The new all-electric Nissan Ariya is set to go on a mission of epic proportions. Today, the manufacturer unveiled the updated Ariya, which will travel 17,000 miles between the North and South Poles later this year.
The suspension and tires are the two most obvious parts that have been upgraded. Nissan upgraded the electric crossover's suspension and fitted beefy 39-inch BF Goodrich tyres, while also extending the fenders.
Nissan has attached a utility unit on the roof, which holds a removable drone. The manufacturer included a built-in espresso machine as a nice bonus for the interior. The battery and electric motors were not modified by the carmaker. Therefore, the Ariya utilizes Nissan's e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive technology with a dual-motor configuration.
A total of 389 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque are generated by the EV. The Ariya was developed by Nissan in tandem with Arctic Trucks, experts in polar adventure vehicles, to withstand the rigors of the voyage. Nissan Ariya will be towing a portable renewable energy unit to keep the EV charged up while it is far from the charging points.
