Nissan And Mitsubishi Team Up For Electric Truck

Nissan and Mitsubishi are reportedly working together to develop a new car, according to recent reports. The two carmakers will collaborate to introduce the electric pickup truck to the US market.
The debut of Nissan's first plug-in hybrid in the United States is the company's way of making amends. The engineers at Mitsubishi are responsible for the system's design. On the flip side, Mitsubishi will be launching its first electric vehicle in the United States using technology it has borrowed from Nissan.
Their intentions are big, and that is only the start. The two are also working together to produce an electric pickup truck for the American market. Mexico will manufacture both the all-electric and plug-in hybrid versions. We anticipate that this new truck will be released between 2027 and 2031.
Although the name of this new vehicle remains unannounced, it could potentially be an electric Nissan Frontier. Even though it got a complete facelift for the 2022 model year, the Frontier still only offers a single engine choice. It's a respectable V6 with 310 hp, but the Frontier isn't very appealing due to its single engine.
Nissan's previously unveiled strategy, The Arc, includes the launch of thirty new vehicles over a three-year period. This new partnership with Mitsubishi is believed to help achieve this goal.
