Nilu27 Hypercar Revealed With Jet-inspired Design And High-tech Innovation
by AutoExpert | 8 August, 2024
The new Nilu27 hypercar has just been revealed! Sasha Selipanov, an automobile designer, is, interestingly enough, the company's founder. He has developed some very famous automobiles, including the Bugatti Chiron, the Lamborghini Huracan, the Koenigsegg Gemera, and the Genesis Mint Concept.
The business claims that the Nilu draws inspiration from 1960s Formula One and Le Mans race cars, vintage American muscle cars, and classic Italian design companies.
This innovative Nilu27 hypercar has a jet-like canopy with gullwing doors for best-in-class ingress and departure. More scrutiny reveals substantial side scoops and 20- and 21-inch Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R wheels. With the Inconel three-tip exhaust system, the back end has a Pagani look, and it also includes a large diffuser and brake lights. In the inside cockpit, "manual, analog controls, inputs, and feedback" are prominent.
The carmaker said that the “steering wheel, pedal box, headrest, door mirrors, and other adjustments are deliberately manual.” This motif is continued by the button- and switch-free steering wheel.
A basic dashboard has large, circular gauges. Other features include machined billet controls and ceiling-mounted toggle switches. A natural gas-powered Hartley Engines 6.5-liter V12 provides power. It produces a staggering 1,070 hp and 634 lb-ft of torque, yet the press release only mentioned over 1,000 horsepower. A seven-speed manual transmission is attached to the engine.
The company called the 0-62 mph time "driver-dependent." However, they said the car can hit 249 mph. The car weighs 2,646 pounds due to its innovative carbon fiber monocoque chassis, a double wishbone suspension, and pushrods. Nilu27 says "Aria Group in Irvine, CA, will assemble the initial... prototype vehicles and [the] first batch of customer cars."
The 15 Nilu units will likely be track-only. The Nilu27 hypercar will be available in a "street homologated version," with only 54 units set for production. Among these, four will be exclusive, one-of-a-kind designs. The special Nilu27 will debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 18, so stay tuned!
