New Special Bentley Continental GT Azure Pays Homage To The Original R-Type From 1953

Bentley brought back the Azure moniker in 2022 as part of a new package that emphasized luxury and elegance. The carmaker is now displaying a special edition of the Continental GT that was outfitted to look like a 1953 R-Type Continental.
As a brief history, in December of 1953, Bentley sent the R-Type Continental to Switzerland into the hands of Dr. Rowland Guenin. He ordered it to have an ivory exterior and a red interior. The manufacturer bought the car in 2001 and meticulously restored it to its original condition.
Old English White, the color chosen for this Continental GT Azure, is very similar to the ivory paint job seen on the R-Type. A lot of shiny chrome adorns crucial spots, including the grille and the body sides. Black, highly polished 22-inch wheels are used for this project.
As opposed to the R-Type's red leather, the seats of this Bentley Continental GT Azure are upholstered in Cricket Ball brown leather. Burr Walnut wood veneer may be seen on the dashboards of both automobiles.
The Azure bundle has a lot of useful tools. For instance, six-way massaging front seats are available as part of the Front Seat Comfort Specification. The Bentley Dynamic Ride system, which includes active anti-roll bars, is installed as standard equipment.
