The new coupe-SUV created by Land Rover is definitely going to compete with vehicles like BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and Porsche Mac. Some rendering pictures involve the fact that Range Rover Velar's nameplate is going to be used, dating from the '60s.
The Velar nickname first appeared a year ago together with I-Pace and I-Type name. They have been already used for two Jaguars - one was an EV crossover and another - a zero-emission racer seen in the FIA Formula E Championship.

From the style's point of view, Range Rover Velar is expected to balance between Evoque and Range Rover Sport. It's got a JLR's aluminum-intensive architecture, the same one as Jaguar F-Pace.

If we refer to the engine, the car will probably have a four- or six-cylinder petrol and diesel engine, as well as a possible supercharged V8. There have been some rumors stating that there might be an all-electric option, too.

Land Rover is going to take the wraps off Range Rover Velar in about a month from now, at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
