Mystichrome Paint Is Back For RTR Mustang Models
by AutoExpert | 31 July, 2024
The SVT Mustang Cobra’s Mystichrome paint was a standout feature when it first debuted in 2004, offering a color-shifting effect that was unique and eye-catching. Well, if you missed out on that limited-edition look, you're in luck!
RTR Vehicles has now brought Mystichrome back as an option for the 2024 Mustang. Mystichrome combines an assortment of blues, purples, greens, browns, and golds. When compared to Mystic, Ford's second color-shifting paint option, which was exclusive to the 1996 SVT Cobra, Mystichrome is noticeably different.
For instance, Mystic utilized the same dye that prints US banknotes. Obtaining even a small amount of paint for repairs still requires assistance from the government. The limitations do not apply to mystichrome; despite its complexity, mystichrome does not have any limitations. "This is more than just a paint job—it’s about giving RTR owners a chance to express their individuality and passion in a way that’s never been possible before on a Mustang," said Vaughn Gittin Jr. of RTR.
"Our team has worked very hard to offer some unique colorways to choose from, and I love all the colors we've curated and made available." RTR prices the upgrade at $15,995. It’s definitely not cheap, but for those looking to add that unique, color-shifting effect to their Mustang, it’s a premium option that stands out.
