Morgan Brings The First Ever Super 3s To The United States
by AutoExpert | 27 September, 2023
Great news for fans of Morgan cars in the US! The Morgan Super 3, a lightweight three-wheeler, has just made its debut. A 1.5-liter Ford engine powers it, and a Mazda MX-5 gearbox transmits power to just one rear wheel.
This US version of the Super 3 was showcased at The Bridge VII, an exclusive annual automotive event. What's interesting is that the two cars on display demonstrated how customizable this model can be.
One was finished in Ice Green Metallic with matching Cotswold leather and unique graphics, while the other had Reflex Silver paint with the same leather but orange accents. Plus, it sported additional driving lights and exo-racks with color-coordinated orange bungees. Who knew oversized auxiliary lights could look good on anything?
Now, to meet US safety regulations, the Morgan Super 3 is technically classified as a motorcycle. This involves some design changes, like repositioning the headlights within the body and modifying the taillights, turning signals, and adding reflectors for compliance. Morgan has even plans to reintroduce its line of four-wheeled vehicles to the US market starting next year.
They already have 12 dealerships in the US, and there's even talk of introducing a modified version of the BMW 2.0-liter-powered Plus Four. In the meantime, the Super 3 is available for purchase, starting at a price of $53,937. So, if you're a Morgan enthusiast in the US, there's a lot to look forward to!
