Morgan Bids Farewell To The Plus Six With Limited-Edition Pinnacle Model
by AutoExpert | 25 October, 2024
Morgan is bidding farewell to the Plus Six with a special send-off: the Pinnacle edition. Slated to end production early next year, this limited-edition model embodies customer-favorite design elements and craftsmanship details that set it apart as a final tribute.
While the exterior keeps its classic charm, new satin warm silver accents and a Le Mans-style flip-up fuel cap bring fresh character to the roadster’s retro styling. Buyers can choose any color they fancy for the Morgan Plus Six Pinnacle, with paint-to-sample options available at no extra cost.
The Pinnacle’s real upgrades lie in its interior. Morgan collaborated with the renowned Bridge of Weir to create three unique leather options—Fawn, Explore, and Riviera—all complemented by natural sheepskin carpets and beautiful teak wood trim. The seats feature unique stitching, “Pinnacle” embroidery, and an aluminum Pinnacle logo set into the console’s veneer, inspired by the intricate craft of Japanese marquetry.
Under the hood, a BMW-sourced 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine produces 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Matched to an eight-speed automatic, this powertrain launches the Pinnacle from 0-62 mph in just 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 166 mph. Only 30 units of the Morgan Plus Six Pinnacle edition will be built, closing out a five-year production run that brought nearly 1,000 Plus Six models to customers worldwide.
Starting at £96,995 ($125,368) in the UK, this Morgan Plus Six Pinnacle limited edition won’t come around again. Looking ahead, Morgan is planning a new flagship model for 2025, which promises a modern design direction.
