by AutoExpert | 2 November, 2021
Before making its official premiere at SEMA, the Mopar 2022 Dodge Durango will be unveiled by Stellantis to honor Mopar's 85th year in business. With a foundation on the 2022 Durango R/T AWD, this new Mopar special edition has the Plus Group and the Tow N Go Package.
In terms of styling, the limited run is only available in White Knuckle or DB Black paint. Customers will get a Mopar Blue body stripe, a Mopar-branded grille, and 20-inch wheels with blue Brembo calipers no matter which color they choose. A 1 inch (25 mm) decreasing kit has also been added to the model, which guarantees better handling, tighter turning, and quicker reaction.
The inside of the 2022 Dodge Durango has been updated with leather and suede front seats with embroidered Mopar logos on the backrests. Also included are blue contrasting stitching, sports pedals, all-weather floor mats, and a sticker on the dash with a unique identification number.
In terms of powertrain, the HEMI V8 makes 360 hp (268 kW/365 PS). All-wheel drive is provided by an eight-speed automatic gearbox coupled to the 2022 Dodge Durango's engine. A limited-slip differential and active damping suspension will also be accessible to clients.
A total of 250 units will be produced, with 200 going to the United States and 50 to Canada. Dealers will start taking orders early next year for the $3,995 kit. Purchasers will also get an owner's pack containing an individualized metal certificate of authenticity with a serialized vehicle-build number as well as a particularly unique rendering of the car by the Mopar Design team.
