The iconic Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series has made a triumphant return in Japan, and customization enthusiasts are in for a treat with a range of optional accessories from Modelista. The subtle yet attractive modifications enhance the Land Cruiser 70 Series' character for adventure seekers.
To start with, Modelista collaborated with the renowned Japanese tuner Jaos, known for its off-road vehicle expertise, to bring exterior upgrades to the Land Cruiser 70 Series.
Vertical LED bars and additional protective panels give the front bumper a makeover. Buyers can opt for aluminum skid plates at both ends, and a yellow tint is added to the fog lights for a dash of personality. Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires perfectly complement the vehicle's new set of 18-inch aluminum wheels with an intricate design and a bronze finish.
These additions complement the rugged character of the Land Cruiser 70 Series. For practicality, the Jaos roof rack and luggage tray expand the Land Cruiser's cargo-carrying capabilities. A rubber boot cover ensures the interior stays clean during outdoor activities. Also inside, Modelista introduces a retro touch with wood grain inserts.
Modelista also offers LED interior light upgrades, tinted windows, license plate bolts, and more. In addition to Jaos and Modelista parts, Land Cruiser 70 owners can explore the Toyota Genuine Accessory catalog. Interesting additions include vintage red and yellow decals, a spare wheel cover featuring the Land Cruiser silhouette, and window visors.
While customization options abound, some come with a price. The new wheel set is the priciest at ¥440,000 (approximately US$3,000). Other additions include the ¥220,000 ($1,500) roof rack and the ¥181,500 ($1,300) for the bumper and skid plates. Decals are priced at ¥63,800 ($440), and the wood grain inserts at ¥66,000 ($450). It's worth noting that the base model of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 70 in Japan starts at ¥4,800,000, roughly $32,500.
