Mini Cooper S Gets Sporty Edge: AC Schnitzer's Latest Tuning Package

AC Schnitzer is now gaining prominence with a tuning package that enhances the Mini Cooper S's aggressive appearance and feel.
To start with, AC Schnitzer is coming with a bold addition: centrally mounted exhaust tips that measure a solid 100 mm (3.9 inches) in diameter.
These come with carbon fiber accents, giving the car a much sportier edge that fans will appreciate. But it’s not just about the roar of the engine. AC Schnitzer has added a two-tier front splitter, beefed-up side skirts, and a serious rear diffuser to amp up the aerodynamics and aesthetics. A larger rear wing and some blacked-out trim between the taillights complete the transformation, giving the Mini a distinct, sporty flair.
The tuner also offers a sleek set of 19-inch AC1 alloy wheels, available in either Bi-Color or Black finishes. They showcased both styles on a demo vehicle, a Mini Cooper S JCW Trim in a striking Chili Red. Of course, you can opt for AC Schnitzer's lowering springs, which bring the Mini down by 15–25 mm (0.6–1 inch) and even add 10 mm (0.4 inch) spacers for that perfect look.
Inside, the modifications are subtle, featuring a new aluminum footrest and a slick key holder that add a pleasing touch without overwhelming the cabin's design. As for performance, AC Schnitzer hasn’t yet delved into the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to boost power beyond the factory’s 201 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. However, given AC Schnitzer's history with the Mini Cooper S, it’s likely we can expect some exciting horsepower upgrades in the near future.
