Mercedes started the production of the new B-Class Electric Drive!

The Market of electric models receives an immense member, officially went into production. It's about Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive, the zero-emission version of the compact MPV, came into the day of the assembly line of the Rastatt factory in Germany.
The model weighs 1,750 kilograms and uses the resources of an electric motor that generates 177 horsepower and 338 Nm of torque. It is enough for acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and a top speed limited to 161 kmph.
The officials estimate the autonomy at 200 kilometers. The value is provided by a lithium-ion battery supplied by Tesla Motors. That amount exceeds 40 kilometers on the BMW i3 model, which boasts with the acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph with 0.7 seconds faster.
The first copies of the new B-Class Electric Drive will arrive in a few months on the US market and then, toward the end of the year in Germany and some other European markets with increased interest in electric cars.
