The electrical Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the derivative with zero CO emissions of the popular supercar, managed to establish a time record on the Nurburgring circuit. With only 7 minutes and 56 seconds, SLS AMG EV became the fastest electric car in the world on the "Green Hell".
The record was approved after another high score reset by the German, the winning of the 24 hour race from Nurburgring with another derivative of the sports car: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3.
Representatives from Mercedes state that SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive corresponds to the series version which is to be launched this month. The most powerful model ever developed by AMG has four electrical engines that develop together 751 HP and 1000 Nm, transmitted to both axes. The supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
