Meet The New Volkswagen ID X Concept Car

Volkswagen CEO Ralf Brandstätter has great news for its followers –a surprise new concept car – the stunning ID X. This time the concept is more focused on delivering high-performance using the ID 3 electric hatchback as a starting project to develop. The concept is presented in grey-and-green livery finish paint with large-diameter alloy wheels wrapped in low-profile tires and Alcantara-covered sports seats for the interior.
Brandstätter revealed that this car would have a significant performance upgrade brought up to 333 horsepower, which is not only 130 horsepower more than the most powerful variant currently on sale but a little bit more than 27 horsepower found in any GTX version of the expected ID 4 SUV.
The new ID X concept would bring an upgraded pack version of the ID 4 GTX's four-wheel-drive system. The engineers could accommodate the already standard on the same ID 3 model MEB architecture. More details about its seating or storage capacity to make room for the bulkier underpinnings that might appear on the market.
The concept should weigh less than the standard ID 3. Meanwhile, a test drive in the concept, Brandstätter confirmed that it could reach the 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) in just 5.3 seconds which includes a dedicated Drift mode used in the Golf R hot hatch.
Don’t get too excited because this specific concept wouldn’t reach production, because it’ll serve more as a package of ideas for the future Volkswagen projects. This is more than just a fun entertainment for the VW engineers team's new passion for developing high-performance electric cars, and Brandstätter is approving it. Imagine more than a four-wheel-drive system inside a vehicle with a substantial power boost fitted inside any Volkswagen model.
