Maserati Bridcage 75th anniversary, Pininfarina Edition!
by AllAutoExperts | 20 October, 2015
This car was built in 2005, in a crazy combination of carbon fiber and glass. Amazingly, it has a cockpit and resembles a jetfighter quite a lot. Oh, there are no doors, but you can enter or exit it through the hood!
This car is the result of the joined efforts of Ken Okuyama and Pininfarina, the whole process taking 6 months. Unfortunately, because of some misunderstandings, the car never got to become a real thing.
Well, except for one single copy. It does however lack an AC, so driving it might get hot, literally, and figuratively. Its price might begin from as surprising as 3 million dollars. And all because there is only one single car like this in the whole world.
The main details regarding this car have never actually been presented to the world, at least not officially. Sources say it can reach 700 hp, all of them produced by the F140 V12 engine. Yes, you have seen it before on Ferrari Enzo and Maserati MC12. It has been specially adapted to this Maserati, so we can assume that 75 Birdcage can speed up from 0 to 60 in as little as 3.2 seconds.
The name of 75 Maserati Birdcage comes from the Birdcage Maserati series, from the 60s.
