Legacy On Wheels: The Exclusive MC20 Maserati Per Maserati Unveiled
by AutoExpert | 3 October, 2024
Maserati is taking its personalization game to the next level with the Fuoriserie program, and who better to test its limits than the grandchildren of Ettore Maserati? Recently, these proud descendants of the brand's founder received a unique MC20 at Maserati's headquarters in Modena.
Dubbed the MC20 Maserati per Maserati, this special edition subtly honors the Maserati legacy. Brothers Alberto and Ettore Maserati chose the MC20 Cielo as their canvas, drawn in by its sleek retractable glass roof.
The car dazzles in a stunning Blu Infinito shade with elegant Bianco Pastello double stripes. A large Trident emblem, painted in a soft Grey Pastel, graces the rear deck, while custom touches like the “Maserati per Maserati” badge on the side profile and Rosso (red) brake calipers behind the 20-inch alloy wheels add flair. An optional carbon fiber package enhances its sporty aesthetic.
Inside, the cabin exudes luxury with Alcantara upholstery and Macrotwill carbon fiber accents. The color scheme features a striking combination of Nero and Nero-Blu, seamlessly flowing across the dashboard, door panels, and six-way sports seats.
Under the hood, this edition packs the same powerful twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine found in the standard MC20 Cielo, generating 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. It sends power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The special delivery event took place at Maserati's iconic Viale Ciro Menotti headquarters in Modena, where a select group of guests gathered alongside classic Maserati models like the A6, 6C34, and 6CM.
Alberto and Ettore were joined by three of their great-grandchildren and the widow of their late grandfather’s son, who passed away in 2018. Representing Maserati at the event were Chief Test Driver Andrea Bertolini, Global Chief Commercial Officer Luca Delfino, and long-time employee Ermanno Cozza.
While the price of the MC20 Maserati per Maserati remains undisclosed, it’s safe to assume that Alberto and Ettore might have enjoyed a special tribute discount in honor of their grandfather’s legacy.
