Kia K8 Gets A Sensual Mid-Cycle Refresh
by AutoExpert | 31 July, 2024
Kia has released initial glimpses of the revamped K8 sedan. The revised model now has a revamped front end that follows the company's current style language. The K8, a successor to the older Kia Cadenza/K7 that was phased out of the North American market in 2021, is Kia's second-largest sedan in South Korea, after the flagship K9.
Just over three years after its debut, the Kia K8 will get a mid-cycle makeover that will mostly alter its appearance.
With their vertical daytime running lights, the sleek tiger nose grille now has an LED bar. Part of this major revamp is the sculpted hood and reworked front bumper, as well as a bigger lower intake that helps keep the engine cool.
Meanwhile, the taillights have received a subtle update with crisper LED graphics, and the bumper has also received a touchup. Inside, we may expect some minor overhauls as well. Remember, the departing K8 boasts numerous advanced driver assistance technologies, a 12.3-inch head-up display, and twin 12.3-inch screens.
The current lineup of powertrains will very certainly be retained. Current models come with a choice of 2.5- or 3.5-liter gasoline engines, as well as a self-charging hybrid and liquid propane gas capacity. By August, Kia claims to have revealed the refreshed K8's exact specs and price in Korea.
