At CES, Kenworth presented the T680E, an all-electric truck that is on display at the PACCAR Innovations booth. The vehicle is offered as a day cab tractor or a straight truck with 6x4 axles for pick-up and delivery services, regional hauling, and drayage.
An electric engine with 536 hp continuous power and up to 670 hp peak capacity, as well as 1,623 lb-ft (2,200 Nm) of torque, powers the Kenworth T680E.
The truck has a peak speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) and a range of 150 miles (241 km), according to Kenworth. The battery pack for the truck hasn't been revealed yet, but Kenworth has stated that it includes an industry-standard SAE CCS1 charging connector and can be completely charged in nearly three hours.
