Jaguar C-X75 Bond Stunt Car Transforms into a Road-Legal Dream
by AutoExpert | 1 March, 2024
Remember the Jaguar C-X75? Gorgeous concept car, sadly never made... until now, sort of. Turns out, one of the stunt cars from the Bond movie "Spectre" is getting a crazy makeover so it can actually hit the streets!
The Backstory
Jaguar built this stunner back in 2010, but it was just for show. Then in 2015, they whipped up some functional versions with supercharged V8 engines for Bond to trash (of course).
Now, the design firm Callum (founded by the OG designer of the C-X75) is taking one of those movie cars and making it road-legal.
This Isn't Just a Paint Job
They're basically re-engineering the whole thing:
- The prototype's bodywork got a full makeover – smoother, tighter, looks even better than before.
- Fake mirrors? Gone. Replaced with snazzy new ones that have turn signals built-in.
- It took "hundreds of changes" to pass inspection – new glass, switches, tamer exhaust...
- Even got the suspension tweaked for a nicer ride!
The Result? Ultimate Collector's Car
This thing's gonna blow minds when it hits the road. Sadly, Callum's not saying how much it costs, or if they'll do this to other surviving stunt cars.
Bottom Line
This is seriously the stuff dreams are made of – a Bond-worthy supercar you can actually own (if you've got the kind of cash to make even 007 jealous).
