Introducing The Groundbreaking SR1 XXR, Boosted To 199 Horsepower
by AutoExpert | 27 April, 2023
Radical has recently unveiled the latest version of their SR1 model, now known as the XXR. The newly unveiled car has an all-new exterior and a more powerful engine than before. Generation 5 of the 1.34-liter four-cylinder motor from Radical Precision Engineering produces 198.8 horsepower and 120.1 pound-feet of torque.
According to Radical, the new engine is beneficial for speed demons. It heats up faster and requires fewer oil changes (every 10 hours instead of six). A new oil scavenge pump design helps with maintenance. Nik-link suspension uses wishbones of different lengths up front and in the back.
When it comes to the interior of the SR1 XXR, potential buyers have the option of choosing between a single-seat or a double-seat configuration. It's worth noting that the vehicle comes equipped with some impressive instruments. For instance, the AIM MXS display is a standout feature, boasting a gear indicator, shift light, and data logging capabilities.
The Enhanced Data Pack is a comprehensive package that comes with a range of features, including GPS, race logging, brake-pressure monitoring, and steering sensors. If you're planning to take your SR1 to a track day with noise limits, an exhaust silencer can be a great solution.
Radical has recently announced that they are accepting orders for the new SR1 XXR. However, the company has chosen not to disclose the price at this time. According to recent reports, production for the highly anticipated project is set to commence in the summer of 2023.
