The Chinese car market is flourishing with contemporary and high-tech vehicles. This year is all about the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show - one of the first auto shows that are not just a Livestream. You can attend and see each participant that shows off their public debuts in real life despite the pandemic around the world.
Great Wall is the automaker getting the attention amongst the popular brands at the auto show. Believe it or not, but attended the event with a Porsche-looking ORA Lightning Cat electric vehicle. They even brought a fabulous, but it is not their only Truck X Cannon to the show.
The latter was built based on the Great Wall latest version of the off-road platform. The vehicle features a double-wishbone suspension on both axles, with an optional air suspension upgrade available. It is clear from the images that this pickup has underbody protection, a couple of black-beefy bumpers, and plastic cladding on the lower body parts.
The Truck X features a flashy grille with a visible logo in the middle, squared headlamps, a bulky hood, vertical taillights, a light strip on the upper part of the tailgate, a bed cover, and multi-spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich rubber tires.
This double-cab pickup truck is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine coupled to a 4H mode nine-speed automatic transmission. Chinese media stated that this automaker might launch even an optional hybrid Powertrain for the Truck X Cannon, powered by an electric motor integrated into the gear.
