by AllAutoExperts | 21 December, 2015
SEMA has hosted a very special modification from Chevy, materialized under the 1500 Z71 Silverado concept, specially conceived for the Special Forces.
This apparently saving vehicle has been inaugurated for the Army-Navy, a game sponsored by the American brand for 6 years in a row.
Silverado will enter limited series production and a part of the sales will be redirected towards the SEAL Marine Museum, for the families of the lost heroes.
Chevrolet's 2016 Silverado Special Ops concept is based on the Silverado 1500 Z71, which features a new front-end design and new technologies built into its strong, high strength steel body structure and fully boxed frame, and draws its design inspiration from naval design aesthetics.
The Marine motif is present everywhere in the concept's design. It features off-road tires, sport grille with LED lights, aluminum wheels of 20 inch, rocker guards, GearOn utility system and it finishes in a Razzle Dazzle CAMO navy motif.
Although no official information on the engine has been released, chances are that one of the following will be chosen for the Silverado: 4.3 liters V6 Ecotec, with 285 hp and 413 Nm torque, a 5.3 liters V8 Ecotec engine, producing 355 hp and 519 Nm or a super 6.2 liters V8 Ecotec, riding 420 hp at a 623 Nm torque.
