A group of students from the University of Stuttgart is guilty of breaking a new world record.
It is about overcoming the barrier and setting a new record for acceleration from zero to a hundred km/h.
Formula Student Race Team entitled Green gave the public new heroes. Its participants were able to record a sprint from zero to 100 km / h in just 1.779 seconds, ie 0006 seconds faster than historical precedent. Moreover, this was possibly driving a supercar built by students at universities.
The Sportscar that brought them fame is driven only by electric motors able to develop around 136 horsepower, delivered to all four wheels. With a weight of only 160 kilograms, it enjoys a weight/power of 1.6kg / kW. A super result if we were to compare the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 2.08 kg / kW or Porsche 918 Spyder 2.5kg / kW!
