Genesis GV70 Takes a Wild Turn: An Off-Road Adventure Awaits with the Latest Concept
by AutoExpert | 24 November, 2023
Get ready for something totally unexpected from Genesis – the GV70 is going off-road, and it's pretty awesome!
So, the Genesis GV70 has always been a bit of a showstopper in Hyundai Motor Group's lineup, right? Luxury, sleek design – it's got it all.
But hold on, because Genesis isn’t just sitting back and relaxing. Before they roll out a facelifted version of this crossover, they've teamed up with the off-road experts at Delta to create something wild: the GV70 Project Overland. And yeah, it’s just a concept for now, but what a concept it is!
Celebrating Delta’s 40th anniversary, the GV70 Project Overland turns this luxury ride into an off-road beast. We’re not talking major changes to the chassis here, but the upgrades are still pretty impressive. The suspension's been tweaked to lift the vehicle almost two inches off the ground, giving it a wider stance that looks super rugged.
Those 18-inch Classic B Rugged black wheels and Continental ATR tires? They just add to the tough vibe, perfectly fitting under those extended wheel arches.
But wait, there’s more! The off-road look gets an extra boost with additional PIAA lights on the roof and Baja Style lights integrated into the grille. For those of you who love to haul your adventure gear, there’s a specially designed roof rack with secure attachment points – super handy, right?
If you’re as intrigued as I am, you can check out the GV70 Project Overland in person at the Essen Motor Show in Germany, from December 1 to 10. It’s gonna be showcased at the Continental booth, so don’t miss it!
Now, about that facelifted GV70... We're expecting some fresh touches like new G90-like headlights and an updated grille on the combustion-powered models. And let's not forget potential upgrades inside – maybe something like the GV80’s rumored giant 27-inch OLED curved screen? We’ll have to wait and see if the GV70 gets a similar dash layout.
In short, Genesis is shaking things up with the GV70, moving from luxury cruising to off-road thrills. And I gotta say, it’s pretty exciting to see where they're headed with this!
