Ford Introduces The Ranger Wildtrak X In Australia

The Ford Ranger lineup in Australia is expanding with the introduction of the Wildtrak X, which is being marketed as a special edition version of the popular midsize truck. This new Ranger Wildtrak X offers a twin-turbodiesel 2.0-liter engine paired with a full-time 4WD system, which is a departure from the part-time setup found in other Ranger models.
The already mentioned 2.0-liter twin-turbodiesel engine produces 201 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This power is then delivered through a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the engine meets the Light Duty Truck EU Stage 6 emissions standard, making it the first Ranger model to do so!
The treats do not stop here. The vehicle also features wider tracks, increased ground clearance, and a suspension system that has been tuned for long trips and heavy cargo loads. It retains an impressive towing capacity of 3,500 kilograms and comes equipped with new all-terrain tires.
The Ranger Wildtrak X is available in an exclusive Cyber Orange color. In addition to the features mentioned earlier, the Wildtrak X model of the Ford Ranger also comes with Bilstein dampers, black badges, and cast aluminum side steps. Meanwhile, the front grille of this new model is unique and includes auxiliary LED lights.
Another noteworthy upgrade is the inclusion of the Trail Control system, which allows the driver to maintain a constant speed of under 20 mph while driving off-road. Inside, oweners will find a new B&O sound system and a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. The starting price of the Wildtrak X in Australia is $51,000, and it is expected to arrive in showrooms later this year.
