Ford Galpin GTR1 - Everything Old Is New Again!

This car represents what a Ford GT could have looked like if the car had continued uninterrupted its evolution.

When the prototype design was finished, the famous concept car manufacturer, Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, produced the entire aluminum car body, an activity that would steal 12 000 hours if done by one single man.

Wanting to enhance the promise of providing the buyers the extreme experience of having a personalized car body, Galpin has collaborated with the Metalcrafters so that the owners could choose between an aluminum and carbon fiber GTR1. By the way, Metalcrafters has decades of experience in providing carbon fiber bodies to an impressive number of supercar manufacturers.

Having completed the personalized GTR1 body, Galpin has installed a twin-turbo system on the car, meant to produce 1024 hp and up to 739 pound-feet of torque. The first estimates show that GTR1 may develop over 225 mph, 0-60 mph in about 3 seconds, and 0-100 mph in six seconds.

Moreover, Galpin has ordered a special brake system, in limited production, in order to ensure the car's safe slow down from extreme speeds. These systems can be usually found on Jet F22, Boeing 787, and Formula 1 race cars. They consist of carbon-carbon rotors in order to ensure supreme resistance and blur even the most extreme deceleration.

The Ford Galpin GTR1 adds to its V8, a twin-turbo unit, limited brakes, a special 20-inch aluminum knock-off rears, wearing Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires, jewelry lights, and special carbon-fiber exterior accents.

As for the interior of the car, the owners will enjoy an aluminum board, a McIntosh sound system, and fine leather seat covers. There is leather everywhere, in any of the desired colors.

"For over 60 years, Galpin has made its talent and performance important for each of the cars we build", said Beau BOECKMANN, president at Galpin Auto Sports. He also stated that he is extremely proud of their interpretation of one of the most representative models of the 21st century.

The Ford Galpin GTR1's production is minimal. Galpin planned on a number of 6 cars and a maximum of 24 copies, at an initial price of 1 million dollars.

Galpin will facilitate the delivery and transportation for international buyers.
