Ford F-750 RV's Enormous Bed Can Carry 8,000 Pounds

Whether or not you've heard of Peter Dunkel isn't a problem. That he's a skilled machinery mover and vehicle collector who decided to spend $6 million on a Ford F-750 that could travel the world is what matters most. To put it another way, that's how the F-750 World Cruiser was born, and the colossal machine was originally sold on Mecum with a low-ball estimate of $450,000 to $650,000.
The crew cab truck has certainly had a lot of length given to it, as evidenced by the images. It's also 22 inches wider than a stock Ford F-750, allowing you to accommodate a vehicle in the bed. Most pickups can't haul automobiles in the bed as they're too hefty, but that's not an issue for the World Cruiser, which has a carrying capacity of 8,000 lbs.
The base plate is built of half-inch thick diamond plating, which is convenient. Knowing that the carpet and seats have a diamond pattern means you're in for a treat. There's a step in the passenger-rear door identical to that on a city bus.
In contrast, a city bus lacks sleeping quarters, a restroom that delivers immediate hot water without propane, a sink, a stove, and an entertainment system with a flatscreen TV as the showpiece.
The AC unit, as well as the two full-size spare tires, are installed on the roof. You're going to wonder what propels the World Cruiser. Clearly told, it's a Caterpillar diesel with 300 hp and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. It'll be able to cruise at 70 mph as a result, quickly emptying its 60-gallon fuel source.
It's difficult to understand why someone would spend so much money on an RV that essentially performs the same job as any others.
Then again, according to Mecum, Dunkel spent $20,000 on the wiring harness alone, which was required to power the Kenwood entertainment system, onboard air compressor, and other components. When you consider that this Ford F-750 giant is obviously a lot lighter than a conventional RV, and it can tow more, the explanation becomes evident.
