Ferrari Gets A Smaller Brother – Much More Smaller
by AutoExpert | 1 July, 2021
There’s a new trend on the block and that is ticking a new optional box when buying a Ferrari: carbon fiber – check, technological tweaks – check, a 1:8 or 1:12 scale matching model – check.
Amalgam Collection, which has been collaborating with Ferrari ever since 1998, took the companies collab to a new level, now offering limited edition shrunk models for the current Ferrari lineup. The magic will start with Ferrari 812 Superfast and 812 GTS, continuing a little bit later with Portofino M.
Don’t worry if you’re planning to buy a Ferrari Roma or SF90 Spider – you’ll still be able to order a Mini-Ferrari. Amalgam just doesn’t have an exact date for that. On the other hand, a series of classic Ferraris will be directly available for purchasing from Amalgam.
And since we’re talking about Ferrari, exclusive is the keyword. The 1:12 scale models will be available only in Ferrari dealerships, while the 1:8 scale models will be sold directly by Amalgam.
Wanna play, gotta pay, right? The “cheaper” 1:12 scale models cost around USD 3.200, while the 1:8 scale models can reach over USD 10.000. It’s a Ferrari, no matter how small it is.
