Fangchengbao Previews Exciting Future With Bao 8, Super 3, And Super 9

The Bao 8, Super 3, and Super 9 are the three avant-garde new automobiles that the BYD-owned startup company Fangchengbao has shown ahead of their official appearances at the Beijing Auto Show. After being split out of the massive Chinese company in June of last year, Fangchengbao debuted its first model, the Bao 5 SUV, in August.
As a result, Fangchengbao is now poised for explosive growth, with the Super 3 and Bao 8 positioning themselves between the Bao 5 and the Super 9, which serves as a halo vehicle for the brand.
We anticipate the Bao 8 to arrive first after its unveiling in manufacturing form. The Bao 8 shares the same ladder chassis as the Bao 5, utilizing battery cells as structural components to enhance stiffness. It is shorter than the Defender 110 (3022mm), thanks to its 120mm longer wheelbase.
The Bao 8 is expected to have a range-extending engine capable of producing over 670 bhp on all four wheels. Yangwang's U8, a luxury sister brand, inspires its hydraulic suspension system. Designed for a younger market, the Super 3 features a battery-electric powertrain instead of a range-extender.
Compared to the Bao 8, it has a more recognizable appearance in concept form because of its large off-road tires, boxy wheel arches, and drone landing pad installed on the top. Not much more has been verified as of yet, but this week's Beijing Expo is anticipated to provide additional information.
It's interesting to note that Wolfgang Egger, the man behind the Alfa Romeo 8C and fourth-generation Audi A6 designs, created the Super 9, an electric speedster that is perhaps Fangchengbao's most daring idea.
