Europe's VW ID.4 And ID.5 Gets Power And Range Increase For 2024

Volkswagen has introduced a series of updates for the European market's ID.4 and ID.5 electric vehicles. The sporty SUVs now offer an increased range of up to 345 miles, a power boost of up to 80 hp faster charging capabilities, and an updated infotainment system.
The updates predominantly target models with the larger battery pack. The ID.4 Pro now achieves a WLTP range of 342 miles, an improvement of 11 miles from the previous version.
The rear-mounted electric motor is now more potent, generating 282 hp and 402 lb-ft of torque, a boost of 80 hp and 173 lb-ft over the previous version. Moreover, all ID.4 and ID.5 trims now come with a larger 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, offering improved speed, functions, and menu structure.
The digital instrument cluster, augmented reality head-up display, voice assistant, and driving mode selector have also been updated. Pre-sales for the updated VW ID.4 and ID.5 have commenced in European markets, maintaining prices starting from €40,335 ($42,786) in Germany.
