With a new design and electric drivetrain, Ferrari 296 GTB is a technical marvel. Adding additional power and custom aerodynamics is the latest decision made by DMC Tuning. The 296 GTB generates 819 hp when it leaves Fiorano.
The gas-powered 140-degree V6 produces 654 hp, while an electric motor provides 165 hpand can drive the vehicle up to 16 miles on its own. Hybrid powertrains have been criticized by some, while others have complained that the new design is too conservative. The new DMC tuning package may help with that.
Ferrari 296 GTB is much more refined and forceful than the previous model. They begin by adjusting the engine's basic functions. Changes in injection and ignition timing result in an additional 80 horsepower, bringing the overall output of the motor to 888 hp. These functions are handled by DMC's control module and then given a boost to maximize the results.
According to DMC, the Squalo 296 GTB can accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in under 2.8 seconds. Any increase is important, although this is just 0.1 seconds quicker than the standard Ferrari 296 GTB. This is especially noteworthy since none of the actual components have been replaced.
DMC adds a complete package to the 296 to ensure it remains grounded with its additional power, which they claim inspired the car's in-house moniker, Squalo, which means shark in Italian. New side skirts fit straight to the original rocker panels, while a rear spoiler gives attitude and downforce.
According to the firm, these elements not only enhance the Ferrari 296 GTB's sleek and gorgeous design, but also serve a practical purpose. The purpose of these panels is to keep the automobile on the ground and to keep the air flowing smoothly. At the back of the vehicle, a lip spoiler and a rear diffuser complete the body package.
