Mercedes-AMG Revealed Its New E Performance Spin Off Brand

After several studies of the recent car market's technological evolution, they concluded that the company could focus now on two segments: the performance hybrids and the pure battery-electric AMG models. Now the future Hybrids will undergo under the name - E Performance label.
Compared to the second pure battery-electric ones, the E Performance ones are most promising to achieve success for this "completely independent drive concept" with an improved front combustion engine and a back Electric Drive unit in the back. No outputs numbers were revealed so far but we're sure they will outperform the AMG's performances.
The M1390 2.0-liter four-pot with the electric-exhaust gas turbocharged would be installed vertically on these cars will be tuned to deliver much more than 442 horsepower. This elegant monster will be combined with an electric motor producing 201 horsepower.
According to Mercedes, the AMG Performance Hybrid drivetrain will produce 804 hp and 738 lb-ft combined with a V8 engine. The high-performance battery is upgraded with a cooling system allowing it to give the driver a race track experience. Mercedes has envisioned a "new drive strategy" to transport their "hallmark DNA into an electrified future.
Philip Schiemer, Chairman of the Board Management of Mercedes-AMG GbbH stated that their performance hybrids developed entirely in Affalterbach will even surpass the driving dynamic of their current models and absolutely justify their new technology labeled E Performance. The future seems less fictional with the next AMG E Performance brand.
