Toyota Aygo X Prologue Concept Promises Special Moments Of Exploration

Toyota is a loyal manufacturer and is staying at the A-segment level. Now, after revealing the Aygo X Prologue Concept, they're ready to label it as a city car's replacement - a slightly different crossover.
The simple fact that there won't be any other Aygo's successors gives Aygo X more authenticity and uniqueness. Goodyear's involvement includes the name branded on the tires - muscular bodywork with flared arches and a smooth wedged roofline.
There are also differences between the actual model and its predecessor - no X-shaped nose, a front end's design replaced with a two-layer bonnet, and C-shaped lighting units, both connected by the continuous LED strip. The modified bumper incorporates now a bigger lower grille, two side air vents, and LED fog lights.
Meanwhile, the back end has a new look with vertical taillights, joined by another LED strip on both sides to the wider tailgate. The designers thought of giving it space for a bicycle holder in the rear skid plate offering a visual highlight to the crossover, adding flush-mounted door handles and action cameras in the side mirror casings. The camera's role is to "capture and share special moments of exploration," according to Toyota's statement.
Built on the same platform as the latest Yaris model, while the GA-B architecture allows compatibility with different engines. There's the possibility that the production model will have a small-capacity petrol engine to make it more affordable for the customers. According to rumors, next year is presumed to be the one scheduled for the official unveiling.
