As simple as it might seem, but a Restomod for a classic Range Rover is a thorough job, but Chieftain created the Extreme model. Though the Restomod doesn’t many details with the original Range Rover Classic, we can say that the result shows a different possible version.
Chieftain started its venture into the Restomod with the bespoke chassis for the Range Rover’s powertrain by fitting it with a fully-independent suspension. The next following was fitting the brakes from the AP Racing, and after that, the company started to work on its powertrain.
The off-road Restomod Range Rover has a GM-sourced 6.2-liter supercharged LS3 V8 engine which delivers up to 700hp coupled with eight-speed transmission powering all four wheels. Chieftain Extreme should be able to hit 0-69 mph in 5.2 seconds at top speed near 130mph.
The exterior got most of the changes, especially on the front fascia, where there are a matte black grille and new circular headlights. The LED light bar also got the ‘Chieftain’ badge on it. However, there are not many details from the original, the modification was made to the six-spoke wheels which got wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires. Similar extreme modifications were made to the rear fascia and the side-exiting exhaust pipes.
The price for this high-class Restomod, the Chieftain Extreme should charge at least above $200,000. The Restomod Range Rover is a beast for any enthusiast.
