Roland Garros Inspires Renault's Exclusive 5 E-Tech Edition

Peugeot produced a number of luxury-focused limited-edition superminis from the 1990s to the 2010s, all of which drew inspiration from the Roland Garros French Open tennis tournament. Renault has just become the event's official automobile partner, and it has taken advantage of this partnership to create the first ever limited edition 5 E-Tech.
The E-Tech Nissan 5 Roland Garros is on display at the 2024 French Open, which takes place in May and June at Paris's Stade de Roland Garros. Pearl White, Midnight Blue, Starry Black, and Matt Slate Gray are the color options for the limited edition 5-speaker.
The vehicles come with 18-inch Ecrou diamond-cut black alloy wheels with Matt Slate Gray center caps and are complemented with textile-finished grained roofs in satin black with chrome satin-finish trim. Roland Garros emblems adorn the bottom parts of the entrance doors, drawing inspiration from the stadium's design and a nod to the Cross of Saint Andrew.
Inside, you'll find further Roland Garros emblems, such as those on the seats covered in a recycled textile weave that Renault claims was influenced by technical sporting textiles and on the e-pop gear selector lever, which is designed to resemble a tennis racket grip. Backlighting illuminates the word "Roland Garros Paris" on the dashboard, while an orange-red tint completes the carpets and console phone charger, a subtle nod to the French Open's clay court surface.
At the event, you may see the 5 Roland Garros displayed alongside other E-Tech 5s. Additionally, there will be other Renaults present. The carmaker is doing more than just supplying event organizers with 180 hybrids, electric vehicles, and SUVs; they're also giving shuttle rides in four 1970s classic 5s that have been converted to operate on electric power.
